Whoever said ‘the name says it all’ gets it right. While manufacturers are occupied merely with entitling their devices aptly, Samsung prefers to plank down technologies that harmonize with its products’ trade name. Illustrating this, the company recently removed the sheath of its new Smart TV range across the LED and Plasma platforms.

Designed to provide optimum functionality, the new range of stylish displays features Samsung’s Smart Hub, an easily accessible medium to users’ favorite music, games, movies, TV shows, pictures, and virtually any content or on a network-connected storage device. Available across the exquisitely carved D5500, D6000, D7000 and D8000 series as well as D8000 Plasma series, the models integrate 3D capabilities.

Enclosed in ultra-thin bezels and appealing designs, the portfolio enables users to search for their movies, browse the web, explore Samsung apps, chat with amigos and find many other types of interactive TV content. Apart from this, the feature-rich lineup comes incorporated with the company’s cutting-edge Plasma +1 layout, which adds 1-inch of additional viewable screen.

“As a Company that was the first to launch LED TVs and 3D TVs, we are also taking the lead by introducing Smart TVs to Indian consumers. We are looking at Samsung’s Smart TV becoming the uniting, dominant piece of technology in the home that connects, enables and entertains the entire family,” pointed out R. Zutshi, Deputy MD, Samsung India Electronics Pvt. Ltd. “To bring alive the Smart TV experience for our Indian consumers, we have gone in for content tie ups with major content developers like Times Music, NDTV Convergence and Money Control.”

By taking advantage of the large-scale Samsung Hub, users can also experience features like Your Video, Search All, Web Browser, Social TV and Samsung Apps. For people seeking unprecedented functionality standards, powerful 3D capabilities have been engineered by the elegant units.

Samsung’s new 12 Smart televisions in the screen sizes between 40-inch and 60-inch will make users shell out between Rs. 68,900 and Rs. 4,00,000. The D8000 Plasma comes in 64-inch screen size with a price of Rs. 2,30,000.
