Acer screens out MO series monitor TVs

Acer logoPC monitors seem to be gradually transforming into HDTV-like screens to offer a theatre like experience to users. Acer has revealed the MO series of monitor TVs for computers. This multi-functional display lineup has been designed to let users sink into high performing graphics through the PC apart from enjoying TV programs.

The monitor has been made available in 19”, 20” and 23” displays that exhibit HD, HD+ and full HD resolutions apart from an aspect ratio of 16:9. Acer’s ACM technology integrated in the display enhances the picture and color quality to obtain sharp images by altering the contrast ratio up to almost 1,000,000:1.

Variations in the transition time have been reduced producing lifelike moving images for games and videos thanks to the 5ms response time. Clear fast moving images are displayed at a speed of 24fps. The exterior of the Acer displays has been embedded with VGA, S-Video, Component, SCART ports to connect with a host of devices.

The HDMI port exposes users to HD output by allowing connections with Blu-ray, DVD players, set-top boxes and HD gaming gadgets. Additionally, it also incorporates a USB multimedia reader offering access to photos and music. The screen has been equipped with Gamma Correction that manages the brightness and color levels for better productivity.

The vertical resolution has been enhanced with Progressive Scan which improves the picture quality. Disturbing and flickering visual content is reduced through the 3D Comb Filtering functionality. Picture noise is lowered with an algorithm included in the Noise Reduction technology. High DVD quality and smooth flowing images are enabled through the Pull down recovery technology on the monitors.

The peripheral further integrates the Acer eColor management system that alters the displayed content as per the environmental conditions and the work mode like media, cinema, data or pictures. The display frame has been coated in a glossy black bezel while the round black base comes complete with a metal finishing.

The pricing details of Acer’s MO series monitor TVs are still unclear.
