NEC E461 Display

Commercial LCD displays and projector solutions can be fruitfully utilized in the education sector, for business usage or for digital signage uses. NEC has just added two new models to its E Series of commercial LCD displays, the 46-inch E461 and 55-inch E551. For augmented business uses, these displays can be put to use in retail stores, waiting rooms and conference rooms.

With up to 5000:1 contrast ratio, both models deliver a full high-definition 1080p resolution of 1920 x 1080 and offer a 120Hz refresh rate setting to display the crystal clear images and reduce blur. Full connectivity is assured by four HDMI inputs, analog RGB, S-Video, and composite video. These eco-conscious models consume power as low as 210W (E461) and 240W (E551).

“Customers receive abundant features with the E Series products at a low cost, bringing increased value to their digital signage application. The addition of both the E461 and 551 allow for flexibility in a variety of deployments and crisp, life-like content with a 120Hz refresh rate,” remarked Keith Yanke, Director of Product Marketing for Large-Screen Displays and Projectors at NEC Display Solutions.

The E461 and E551 displays equip built-in low profile 12W speaker for delivering sound and come with a built-in ATSC/NTSC/QAM analog/digital tuner. Also, the integrated Coneq Sound technology allows users to set and correct acoustical sound output. Interestingly, the models include a built-in closed captioning which enables users to display text information for the hearing impaired. These models come equipped with multiple picture modes and advanced video settings for an optimized viewing experience.

Other features of these displays are input labeling within the onscreen display, JPEG Viewer, Backlight adjust, and parental control. The LCD displays rest on swivel-stands which are detachable for wall mount applications. Appearing in sleek chassis, the new E series models provide a professional performance.

The E461 and E551 will be available beginning August 2010 and are priced at $999 (approx Rs. 47,000) and $1,499 (approx Rs. 70,580), respectively.
