Aimed at classrooms and business offices, Sanyo rolls out the latest short-throw WXGA LCD projector, known as the PLC-WXE45, which highlights the ability to project images onto blackboards and color boards with ease.
Boasting off a short focal length lens, the low-cost LCD projector can reproduce an 80-inch image on the screen from a distance of only 34-inches. It offers a full WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution, aspect ratio of 16:10, 500:1 contrast ratio and 2000 lumens of brightness. Other key attributes include networking capability, security features, closed captioning and a clever space saving design.
Featuring Sanyo’s exclusive PJ Network interface, the Sanyo PLC-WXE45 is capable of connecting to a wired network for users to monitor the functions and operations of the projector from a long distance. Moreover, users can even send email to report on the existing operating status.
Users can project high-definition images from cable/satellite or DVD sources in addition to Macs or PCs. As mentioned about, the PLC-WXE45 can reproduce the images on a white surface, colored surface and even on an educational board, thanks to the incorporation of Color Board mode and Black Board mode.
“The lightweight PLC-WXE45 is a highly versatile solution for most educational applications due to the projector’s ultra short throw lens, wide aspect ratio and its networking capabilities,†remarked Mark Holt, Vice President and General Manager for Sanyo’s Presentation Technologies Division.
Other than that, the projector comes with closed captioning that displays the audio portion of the presentation in the print format. This feature is particularly added for hearing-impaired individuals.
In terms of security, the PLC-WXE45 has the capability to work only with the bundled remote control and a PIN code lock to avoid unwanted operation. Further, it guarantees to minimize the risk of theft as it is outfitted with an anti-theft alarm that emits a loud sound whenever the projector is moved.
Apart from that, it provides a minimum screen size of 50-inches and maximum of 100-inches. It supports 200W UHP projection lamp, Mini D-sub 15 video inputs, S-video, composite, D-Sub 15monitor out, Mini DIN 8-pin service port and RJ45.
The Sanyo PLC-WXE45 short-throw WXGA LCD projector is currently out in the market for a suggested price of $1,795 (approx. Rs. 89,625).
