Panasonic Plasma TV

Panasonic has announced its plan to roll out 150-inch Plasma Television at CES 2008. Last year, Sharp presented its 108-inch LCD TV that seemed to be the largest TV in the year. Now, Panasonic is believed to get the title of ‘the world largest consumer plasma flat TV’.

Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. has developed the prototype of this model, which apparently comes with a size dimension of 138×79 inches. It is simply big enough to stand in.

The company’s largest display, apart from 150-inch, was 103-inch screen that cost around £26,618. Price and availability of Panasonic 150-inch plasma tv is not clear. It is expected to release in 2009.

When the news made its presence, we thought ‘150’ was a typo. However, presently we take it as gossip news. When CES starts, which is just few days’ away, we will report the confirmed news.

I am fascinated by this mammoth screen. However, working out the math, I arrived at 159 inches diagonal.
