Marantz Unveils VP-11S2 DLP Projector

Marantz Marantz has introduced its new high-definition DLP front projector, called the VP-11S2.

Featuring Texas Instrument’s DC4 chip, the latest device increases brightness and significantly higher contrast (12000:1 contrast ratio) than the current DLP chip sets. It also sports HDMI 1.3 inputs, s-video, analog RGB connection with Deep Color capability, Gennum GF9351 chip, a programmable video processor for performing calculations on the order of 500 million floating point operations per second.

In addition, it bundles standard and long-throw lens options and offers full 1080p HD Resolution, (1920×1080 pixels). The VP-11S2 DLP projector also comes with two control ports, one of which is a RS-232C port. A remote in/out connection and two DC trigger connections are also included.

Konica-Minolta gives optics with customized cooler filters to match the spectral characteristics of the 200 Watt DC SuperHighPressure lamp assembly. The VL-11S2 has a color wheel that itself spins at 10,800 RPM.

No word on price and availability of Maratz VP-11S2 DLP projector.
