Samsung SyncMaster 225UW LCD Monitor Announced

Samsung Logo Samsung Electronics America has launched its new SyncMaster 225UW widescreen LCD monitor that uses Microsoft’s Office Communicator 2007 solution to streamline communication functions into a single platform.

The new LCD monitor features a high-gloss shiny black bezel and a stylish square-based stand. It also has a set of touch-sensitive buttons, which enhance ease-of-use.

“A growing body of customers are seeking a single, streamlined communications platform that does not compromise on performance, value, or style,” said Andrew Weis, senior product marketing manager, display products, Samsung Electronics America, Inc. “Thanks to the SyncMaster 225UW monitor, users can now enjoy a simplified communications experience in a sleek and stylish design.”

Some of the other features of the SyncMaster 225UW are:

  • A built-in 2.0M pixel high-resolution webcam
  • Dual-array microphone and speakers
  • A high resolution of 1680 x 1050 with a wide 16:10 aspect ratio
  • A 700:1 contrast ratio
  • 300cd/m2 brightness
  • 5 ms GTG response time
  • A 2 port USB hub
  • Dual inputs (DVI-D and Analog)
  • Samsung’s SyncMaster 225UW will come along with three years warranty and will be available in the US market at the price of $449.99 (approx Rs. 17,885).
