GoPro HD Hero2

Building on the success of the original HD Hero, GoPro has brought forth the HD Hero2 camera. The device now features a Wi-Fi Remote Control and Video Streaming.

The GoPro HD Hero2 sports an 11 megapixel sensor which is said to capture better detail along with professional low light performance. As compared to its predecessor, this camera is also equipped with a wide angle lens of twice the sharpness, and better image processing techniques.

“GoPro created a new category of camera with the HD HERO back in 2009, and it’s gone on to become one of the bestselling video cameras in the world,” expresses Nicholas Woodman, GoPro’s founder and CEO. “With these big shoes to fill, we invested massively in engineering the HD HERO2 to be one of the greatest, most versatile cameras of all time. We think we’ve achieved our goal and we’re very excited to see the content our customers around the world capture and share with their powerful new GoPros.”

The camera is devised in three different editions, outdoor, motorsports, and surf. All these devices are compatible with Wi-Fi BacPac and Wi-Fi Remote. The Wi-Fi Remote comes with a range of up to 50 GoPro cameras. The available connectivity options allow this device to live stream videos and photos to the internet.

All cameras in the GoPro HD Hero2 range are priced at $299.99 (approx. Rs. 14,947). With the launch of this new assortment, the prices of the original 1080p HD HERO camera have been slashed. It can now be grabbed for a price range starting from $199.99 (approx. Rs. 9,964) to $239.99 (approx. Rs. 11,957).
