Fujifilm FinePix F70EXR

Fujifilm’s new innovation, claiming to be the world’s smallest digital camera to feature 10x zoom, the FinePix F70EXR has been launched in India.

The device outs significant image quality with the incorporated EXR technology. At 22.7mm, the sleek device poses a stylish look with a carved shell metal chassis adorning double-coated lacquer. Apart from flaunting a jewellery-like finish, this double-coated varnish safeguards the camera from unexpected knocks.

The equipped Fujinon 10x zoom lens offers high resolution crisp images all along the focal range from 27mm wide-angle to 270mm telephoto. Its state-of-the-art sensor technology adjusts the sensor according to the scene to be photographed. In strong light, the camera can be switched to HR (High Resolution) mode, in strong yet contrast light to DR (Dynamic Range) mode while in low light switch to SN (High Sensitivity and Low Noise) mode.

According to Kenichi Tanaka, Managing Director, FUJIFILM India, “FinePix F70EXR buyers will definitely benefit from the EXR Auto feature as it lets the camera do all the hard work allowing the photographer to concentrate on getting the best possible pictures. Moreover, most of the long zoom compact available as of now is a cross between the bigger and advanced models and smaller compact models. After thorough market research and testing, we have come up with a long zoom compact that’s not only perfect for general family use but also for prosumers. This is definitely the perfect camera for men and women alike.

The F70EXR also exhibits EXR Auto which is a set of program modes. It enables the camera to detect six distinct types of scenes – Portrait, Landscape, Macro, Backlit Portrait, Night, and Night Portrait. Putting the user to ease, the camera does it all from optimizing focus, colour balance, exposure, flash and sensitivity to automatically switching the sensor to HR, SN or DR mode.

A. Rajkumar, Country General Manager (DSC), FUJIFILM India, said, “Typically, one of the ways to distinguish ‘DSLR’ photography from ‘compact’ photography has been the use of ‘wide aperture’ to create mood and depth in a picture. These ‘professional’ shots are now possible on the FinePix F70EXR, which uses Pro Focus Mode to combine 2 or 3 burst shots together. Ideal for portraiture, nature photography or any subject which needs ‘lifting’ from its background, the FinePix F70EXR Pro Focus Mode provides satisfying professional results at the touch of a button.”

Users can view those captured snapshots on F70EXR’s high contrast LCD which can be viewed even in bright light and at 160 degree angle. Some other attributes include intelligent flash, dual image stabilization, face detection and automatic red-eye removal.

The Fujifilm FinePix F70EXR is priced at Rs.17,999, in India.
