Besides unveiling the high end camcorder, Canon has also introduced an innovative camcorder accessory, the RA-V1 Remote Control Adapter for professional-level functionality when shooting from a tripod. The VIXIA HF S11 camcorder preserves Canon’s core imaging technologies and also adds several new features that boosts the functionality. The device presents unparalleled image quality and is capable of recording up to 24 hours of crisp high-definition video to a 64GB internal flash drive.

Users can also choose to record videos directly to removable SDHC memory cards and share them instantly. In an effort to enhance the video capturing and viewing experience, the company introduces Dynamic SuperRange OIS system that offers shake correction feature that provides nonstop adjustment throughout the entire zoom range.
With Advanced Video Snapshot Mode, users can now record a range of four second clips in shooting mode as well as in playback mode and create a movie out of it and enjoy it with their family and friends.
The camcorder is equipped with Genuine Canon HD Video Lens along with an 8.59 megapixel full HD CMOS image Sensor and Canon DIGIC DV III image processor. Further, the HF S11 is inclusive of genuine Canon face detection, instant auto focus. Recording in 24p cinema mode or 30p progressive mode is also made possible with this device. It also incorporates manual gain control limits and manual focus controls, which are generally observed in professional camcorders.
The newly introduced RA-V1 Remote Control Adapter provides the Canon camcorder with a LANC terminal for connecting optional Canon (ZR-1000 and ZR-2000) and third-party wired remote controllers. The remote control manages various functionalities of the camcorder like power on/off, record start/stop, zooming and focus.
Canon plans to retail the camcorders in mid-September. The Canon VIXIA HF S11 Dual Flash Memory Camcorder comes with a price tag of $1,399.99 (approx. Rs. 68,089), however the RA-V1 remote control adapter will be made available for $120 (approx. Rs. 5,837).
