Canon unveils iVIS HF21 and iVIS HF S11 camcorders

Canon has unveiled two new camcorders dubbed iVIS HF21 and iVIS HF S11, reports Akihabara. Both these camcorders feature 64GB onboard storage and SDHC card slot.

These cameras are capable of recording a little less than about six hours of 24Mbps footage with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. Powered by Canon’s DIGIC DV III Video processor, these cameras incorporate ports like USB, AV, headphones and microphone-input.

The Canon iVIS HF S11 features ½.6-inch CMOS that is capable of capturing up to 8-megapixel stills. The iVIS HF21 incorporates ¼-inch CMOS and captures up to 4 megapixel still images. Both the HF21 and the HF S11 feature an optical image stabilization and optical zoom. The HF21 includes a 15x optical zoom while the HF S11 incorporates a 10x optical zoom. The features include Face Detection technology and 2.7-inch wide-aspect LCD screen for preview.

Moreover, the Canon iVIS HF21 also bundles up an underwater kit. The Canon iVIS HF21 and iVIS HF S11 are expected to release next month in Japan. The pricing details are still unknown.
