A new addition to the Panasonic Lumix family of cameras has been spotted on a Chinese forum, reports Cnet. The images of this upcoming camera termed the Panasonic Lumix GF1 Micro Four Thirds have been leaked. According to the forum, Panasonic will soon announce this camera as its answer to the Olympus EP-1.

The leaked images affirm that the GF1 features interchangeable lenses along with a pop-up flash. The camera is also believed to incorporate an external viewfinder that is placed just below the hot-shoe on top of the camera. The camera is compact and hence highly portable.

Other rumored specifications of the Lumix GF1 include 13.1 megapixel sensor with a resolution of 720 pixels. The camera is said to record high definition videos at a speed of 30fps. It supports a shutter speed of 1/4000s. The looks of the camera are quite similar to the EP-1.

The screen of this Lumix camera is tipped to be a 3-inch LCD with a resolution of 460k pixels. Apparently, the GF1 measures 119mm x 71mm x 36.3mm in size. The weight is speculated to be around 285g.

The camera is also believed to sport a fingerprint sensor. Well, there is no official word from Panasonic about the launch of this camera.
