Lenovo IdeaCentre Horizon Table PC

The Lenovo IdeaCentre Horizon Table PC release date may be unclear, but the device’s price details have been revealed ahead of CES. Also, the company says that it will start shipping the system in early summer.

The IdeaCentre Horizon Table PC is meant for collaborative computing and arrives with multiple modes. It can be used by more than one person at the same time and also offers desktop functionality. The device operates with the assistance of the Windows 8 OS and extends support to multi-player games optimized for this platform. Moreover, the company has also packaged accessories like an e-dice, 4 joysticks as well as strikers to facilitate ‘phygital’ gaming.

Besides the manufacturer’s App Shop, the Lenovo system in question enables users to download application from the Intel AppUp store which stocks up on over 5000 entertainment apps. It has also been pre-loaded with software from developers like EA, FableVision, FilmOn, BlueStacks and Ubisoft to name a few. The PC’s smart hinge system comes in handy to lay it flat on a table and as soon as it is laid down, the Lenovo Aura touch interface of the device is activated for multi-user support.

Furthermore, the device provides 27 inches of multi-touch real estate and its display can be viewed from any angle. Its ability to deliver enhanced visuals can be attributed to the Nvidia GeForce graphics processor, while the clear sound reproduction is due to Dolby Home Theatre v4 audio. The AIO gains steam from the latest generation Intel Core i7 CPU. And if that’s not all, prospective customers can even take advantage of the optional Horizon Multimode Table.

The movable table claims to save a lot of space as the desktop system can be adjusted on top of it in different positions and angles. It can either be laid on the surface or kept straight up at an angle of 90 degrees like a wall mount. The system is backed by a three-year warranty and tags along a number of protection services as well.

The Lenovo IdeaCentre Horizon Table PC will set users back by at least $1,699 (approx. Rs. 93,405) and will be up for sale via the official company website and authorized dealers.
