The price in India of the Apple new iMac was already known, but now the company has also revealed details of the Mac mini. Both systems were introduced in October along with the latest iPads and went up for sale in the US towards the end of last month.
Although the Apple website says that the iMac is coming soon, a major authorized retailer from the country discloses that it is already up for grabs. Alternately, the dealer informed us that the Mac mini isn’t available yet and will make its debut in December, while the OEM’s web portal has a ‘buy now’ button for the same. Only recently, the company also introduced the iPad mini and the fourth generation iPad in the nation.
The iMac, which comes in screen sizes of 21.5 and 27 inches, is powered by the quad core Intel Core i5 processor with the Intel Turbo Boost technology, that can clock in a speed of up to 3.2GHz. Loaded with 8GB of DDR3 RAM, it extends support to Fusion Drives and has been integrated with a 1TB hard drive. An Nvidia GeForce GPU is assigned the task of delivering discrete graphics.
Accompanied by the Apple wireless keyboard, the magic mouse and the magic trackpad, it has been fitted with an HD FaceTime webcam, a microphone and stereo speakers. Moreover, the computer system sports a headphone port, an SDXC card slot, two Thunderbolt connectors, a Mini DisplayPort and an Ethernet output. Needless to mention, it is pre-loaded with OS X Mountain Lion.
The mini device comes in variants with either a 2.5GHz dual core Intel Core i3 processor and a 500GB HDD or a 2.3GHz quad core Intel Core i7 CPU as well as a 1TB hard drive. It boasts of Intel HD Graphics 4000, 4GB of DDR3 RAM and features like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The Apple system is also embedded with an SDXC card slot, a Thunderbolt port, a FireWire 800 connector and other common outputs like audio in/out, USB 3.0, HDMI and Gigabit Ethernet.
The 21.5-inch Apple new iMac price is Rs. 85,900 or Rs. 99,900, while the 27-inch model starts at Rs. 1,22,900. The 2.3GHz and 2.5GHz Mac mini will set users back by Rs. 39,900 and Rs. 52,900, respectively.
