The recently released Lenovo LS series monitors are said to complement the ThinkCentre Edge desktops, especially crafted to meet the requirements of SMBs. In addition to the monitor series, Lenovo has announced another desktop dubbed Edge 71 for its ThinkCentre range for advanced performance at an affordable price.

The Lenovo LS series is inclusive of the 21.5-inch LS2221 wide and 23.6-inch LS2421p wide monitors offering a dynamic contrast ratio of 10 million to 1. The stylishly designed monitors sport a slanted stand along with capacitive touch buttons for a minimalist look and are energy-efficient. The LS2221 monitor supports VGA and DVI connections whereas the LS2421p display and is incorporated with VGA and HDMI outputs. Also, the latter has brightness of 300 nits and is embedded with a four USB port hub.

Encased in a glossy tower, the ThinkCentre Edge 71 desktop is powered by the Intel Core i7 Quad Core processors along with 8GB DDR3 RAM. It is integrated with Enhanced Experience 2.0 for speedy start-up and supports up to 1TB HDD and SSD storage. The Intel graphics of the desktop can be optioned with AMD Radeon Caicos for discrete graphics performance.

Besides a Gigabit Ethernet and six USB ports, the desktop equips a DVD player/ burner and the rubber grip handle facilitates shifting it. Preloaded with ThinkVantage technology, the security options included are USB port disablement and HD password protection in BIOS. Also, the VGA and DVI offer support for two displays.

The Lenovo LS2221 wide and LS2421p wide monitors are priced at $229.99 (approx. Rs. 10,215) and $299.99 (approx. Rs. 13,324), respectively. They will hit stores this August with a three year warranty. The ThinkCentre Edge 71 desktop is priced at $369 (approx. Rs. 16,390) and will be available in October.
