Gateway has announced the availability of two new desktop PCs in the American market. The new additions are the Gateway FX6710 gaming desktop from the FX Series and the Gateway LX6200-01 digital media PC from the LX.
Both the computing devices work on a user friendly chassis with several pop-up and pop-out doors for dust-free and debris-free ports. These devices possess a Smart Copy button on the chassis to store the digital photos easily and quickly, a pop-up door to hide the i/o ports for temporary items that include microphone, headphone, 1394 and analog video capture cables.
Moreover, both the Gateway desktops come embedded with the touch-sensitive media control buttons to control DVDs, music play lists and TV functionality, Blu-ray Disc optical drives, the LED indicators to display real time status of wireless LAN and IR activity, and a backup button for data protection.

Some of the common features of the Gateway FX6710 and LX6200-01 are 750 GB SATA II hard drive, 18x DVD+/-R/RW SuperMulti Drive with support for Labelflash Technology, 15-in-1 high-speed digital media card reader, 6 USB 2.0 ports, two IEEE 1394a ports and 8-channel (7.1) high-definition audio with amplified stereo speakers.
Powered by Intel Core 2 Q9400 Processor, the Gateway FX6710 gaming PC runs on Windows Vista Premium 64-bit and sports a 6 GB DDR2 memory and dual channel, enhanced ATI Radeon HD 4850 graphics, eSATA port and Creative’s X-Fi gaming audio capabilities for game graphics at high resolution and life-like audio.
Aimed at digital media enthusiasts, the LX6200 desktop PC ensures high-end operations for digital photography, video-editing and music-based content creation. Fueled by quad-core AMD Phenom X4 9500, the latest desktop PC from LX series is based on Windows Vista Premium 64-bit and packs a 8GB DDR2 memory, dual channel, ATI Radeon HD3200 graphics, Dolby Theater audio and a TV-tuner. The other features include Analog/Digital TV Tuner with 3-D Comb and a HDMI port.
Backed by a one year warranty, the Gateway FX6710-01 and LX62000-01 desktop PCs are immediately available in the US market for $1,199 (approx. Rs. 58,500) and $779 (approx. Rs. 38,000), respectively.
