After a 6-month long wait, the Xolo Win tablet has finally gone on sale in India and it’s priced at Rs 19,990. The slate is the company’s first to run on Windows and it’s also the first to go on sale in the country with an AMD processor onboard. What’s more, Flipkart is selling the slate exclusively through its online store.
The Xolo Win was announced back at the CES 2014 where even Micromax unveiled its own Windows slate which could also dual boot with Android. The device in question comes with Windows 8.1 out of the box and at the said price, it’s the most affordable Windows tablet on the market. MS Office comes pre-installed as well. Intel’s Atom SOC is found on most slates in this category, but this one comes with the AMD Temash chipset.
The SOC features dual 1GHz A4-1200 cores and Radeon HD 8180 graphics. The tablet falls in the 10.1-inch category, but sadly, the resolution is only 1366 x 768 pixels. There’s a 2MP camera on the rear and a 1MP shooter on the front. The slate can deliver up to 6 hours of activity on a single charge which takes approximately 3 hours to complete.
