MTS Blaze 5.0 launched for Rs 10,999, will land you 100GB of free data

MTS has launched a new budget-friendly smartphone, the Blaze 5.0, which has gone official in India for a price of Rs 10,999. The device is being offered with various goodies including 100GB of data usage which is valid for a period of one year.

Unlike the usual budget-minded handsets which feature MediaTek or Broadcom chipsets based on the Cortex A7, the MTS Blaze 5.0 comes with a quad core Snapdragon S4 processor. What’s disappointing is that the handset is powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean which is pretty outdated. Nevertheless, it will still provide access to the majority of apps on the Play Store. The company has also preloaded its MTS TV app which offers access to various TV channels.
