The stylish Sony Tablet S introduced back in September last year, is now available for a discounted price through the official website. The manufacturer has reduced the prices of both, the 16GB and the 32GB versions of the tablet by $100.

As Engadget says, the company seems to have introduced a new pricing strategy to accelerate sales in the new year. Measuring 9.5 x 6.8 x 0.3 inches, the device tips the scale at less than 600 grams. The front panel of the tablet dons a 9.4-inch multi-touch display that renders visuals in 1280 x 800p resolution. Based on the Google Android Honeycomb platform, it acquires multitasking properties from the Nvidia Tegra 2 processor.

Besides a 5MP rear facing camera, the tab is equipped with a 0.3MP front facing snapper that allows users to engage in video conferencing over the internet. Featuring the IR remote control function, the Tablet S comes with a full size SD card slot to facilitate media exchange. The wireless communication options are inclusive of Bluetooth version 2.1 + EDR as well as IEEE 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, while it can be connected to audio peripherals and other systems by means of its headphone jack and microUSB port.
