AT&T last made news when AG Findings shared that they have started shipping the Beetle cases for the Apple iPhone 4 to AT&T retail outlets. Well, AT&T and Samsung jointly announced that the former plans to offer the latest Samsung Galaxy Tab.

Supported by the powerful Android 2.2 platform, the Samsung Galaxy Tab adorns a 7-inch TFT touchscreen. Powered with 1GHz Hummingbird application processor, the offering lends support to Adobe Flash player 10.1 and Media Hub which offers a wide array of popular films and TV programming. Besides, the solution features Samsung Social Hub, dual cameras and other exciting elements.

“We’re looking forward to expanding our computing device portfolio and giving our AT&T customers more great choices with this innovative device,” quoted Glenn Lurie, president of AT&T’s emerging devices. “By teaming with Samsung Mobile to deliver the Samsung Galaxy Tab, we’re equipping our customers with new and exciting ways to connect to the nation’s fastest mobile broadband network.”

AT&T users can now immerse themselves in PC-like web browsing experience and access various multimedia contents on the vibrant 7-inch display. Owners can also seamlessly communicate through e-mail, SMS or social networking with the optimized user interface.

Further, the latest Samsung Galaxy Tab will flaunt AT&T Connection Manager which intuitively connects users to AT&T Wi-Fi hotspots. Apart from all this, users will have access to the entire AT&T national Wi-Fi network.

AT&T will sell the Galaxy Tab through its own retail stores and the official website in the coming months, while other distribution partners will be revealed at the launch. The pricing details and AT&T data plan will be revealed closer to the launch date.
