Buffalo Drive Station CX series comes to Indian market

Buffalo Drive Station CX series Buffalo has announced the availability of the Drive Station CX series in India. The company had previously launched the 8x DVD drive and the NAS TeraStation III series in the Indian market.

This new series from Buffalo is said to incorporate Full Disk Encryption. The drives also promise to provide maximum security to critical data. Apart from the Full Disk Encryption, the series also incorporates plug-and-play installation that makes using this device all the more easy. The configuration wizard and eco power management features of these drives further simplify the usage of the Drive Station. The drives also feature the SecureLockManager Easy that is capable of remembering password and can log on to the computers automatically.

“It is ideal for users who want a secure, high-speed storage and backup solution. One can store thousands of files while protecting important personal, financial, and business data from unauthorized access. With this high speed USB Storage one can store thousands of music, video, photos, and data files in one convenient location,“ said Susumu Kobayashi, Country Manager, Buffalo India.

The TurboUSB allows users to quickly copy or transfer files from and to the drives. The Google Picasa assists in sorting and organizing the photographs stored on the drive. The Drive Station CX series eliminates the need to install additional drivers. The drives are compatible with both Windows and Mac operating systems. The other features of these drives include New Power Savings Mode and Memeo AutoBackup.

The Buffalo Drive Station CX series drives are available in various capacities ranging from 500GB to 2TB. The 500GB HD-CX500U2 and the 1TB HD-CX1.0TU2 are price tagged at Rs. 9,000 and Rs. 13, 000 respectively. The HD-CX1.5TU2 with a capacity of 1.5TB costs Rs. 21,000 while the 2TB HD-CX2.0TU2 is priced at Rs. 40,000. The drives come with a three year warranty.
