Valentine’s Day is not even a month away and companies from all industries are gearing themselves to offer the best gifts for the occasion. How can a software giant be behind in this race! Microsoft has announced its 80 GB music player dubbed Zune in the red color.

Microsoft claims that the new design of Zune is inspired by the themes of love. The new Valentine’s Day series of Zune contains four artworks namely Colorblok, Friends With You, PSYOP and Studio Play Pretend. To personalize the gift, Microsoft allows having three lines message on the device.

Some of the specifications of the 80GB Zune are:

  • A 3.2-inch color screen
  • Touch controls
  • Built-in FM radio
  • “Zune gives consumers a dynamic canvas that is brought to life by the music, pictures, videos and podcasts they fill it with. Zune Originals makes it easy to design a customized player, while wireless sharing and the Zune Social online music community give people new ways to connect,” said Scott Erickson, senior director of product management for Zune at Microsoft.

    The new red colored Zune will be available for purchase at http://www.zuneoriginals.net for the limited period of time at the price of $249 (approx Rs. 9,750).
