New iPods to Feature Sound Control Level?

iPod with Volume Control There are rumors spreading on the internet that Apple might tone down the volume in the future versions of its iPod. Apple is expected to take this step in fear of deafness caused by playing music at full volume for too long.

The company fears that rock fans might deafen themselves by hearing music at the top of the volume for long time.

Experts say that, this trend of MP3 players will cause damage to the ears of youngsters. Advanced media players like iPods can work for around 12 hours in a single battery charge. Plus they come with huge capacities; hence youngsters are close to an enormous risk of deafness.

According to The Times of India, new iPod versions will automatically calculate the time that the device is heard, its volume and gradually it will reduce the sound level.
