Wisdom Audio appears with LS3 and LS4 loudspeaker systems

While enjoying multimedia to our hearts content, we often tend to miss out on the pleasure of blasting vivacious acoustics. Wisdom Audio has now released its two new modular line source loudspeaker systems dubbed LS4 and LS3. Featuring a state-of-the-art architectural design, the devices come integrated with the wideband planar magnetic line source technologies.

Measuring 20” in height, the models come with two planar magnetic midrange drivers. The LS4 combination flaunts four modules with a total vertical line source height of 80”. Whereas, the LS3 subsumes three modules with a combined vertical line source height of 60”. The planar magnetic technologies provide the capability of the treble driver to cover a wider gamut. These systems are bi-amplified and have no conventional passive crossovers.

“Through customer feedback, we identified an opportunity to address both the ultra high-end audio market and installations for large theaters where high sensitivity and maximum SPL are critical. We applied the cumulative planar magnetic transducer design experience of our team to create the Wisdom Series LS4 and LS3, resulting in a totally fresh concept, the most advanced speaker we ever made and, we believe, the best performing domestic speaker system available,” shared Mark Glazier, Wisdom Audio President.

Encased in an elegant, curved arc chassis, the LS4 and LS3 have an exclusive aesthetic profile. The devices complement the STS Regenerative Transmission Line subwoofer. The frequency response from 15Hz to 80Hz is proffered by the peripherals, while they render an efficiency of 101dB at 1 watt/2.83V and 101dB at 1W/2.83V extreme output levels. A reference level music system, home theater or screening room/post-production configuration feature dual STS subwoofers which are mated to LS4s, LS3s or a combination of the two.

The Wisdom Series LS4 and LS3 systems are anticipated to be unfurled at the International Consumer Electronics Show in January 2011, with the shipping beginning in February. The Wisdom Series LS4 and LS3 will be priced at $40,000 (approx Rs. 18,34,199) and $30,000 (approx Rs. 13,75,649), respectively.
