HP takes a step towards being eco-friendly by using recycled products to develop its latest printers. Hewlett Packard has launched four printers, namely HP Deskjet D2545, HP LaserJet P4015x, LaserJet P4515x and LaserJet P4515xm. The D2545 makes the company proud by achieving its first printer made almost entirely from recycled plastic material.
The eco-solution, which has been undertaken by the company, has managed HP Deskjet D2545 to go green. It is said that 83% of the printer’s weight has been created with recycled plastics. The printing device incorporates HP 60 ink cartridges, which are also molded from recycled plastic resins. Interestingly, the overall packaging for D2545 is 100 percent recyclable.
Moreover, the printer brags about being ENERGY STAR qualified. It comes equipped with the company’s Smart Web Printing that allows consumers to merge portions of the numerous web pages onto one page to save paper. It has the ability to print up to 26 black pages and up to 20 color pages in one minute. By using HP Vivera inks, the printer delivers laser-quality black text and vivid-color graphics and photos.
HP LaserJet P4515 printers offer a printing speed of 62 pages per minute (black-and-white), up to 1,200 x 1,200 dpi printing, up to 3,600-sheet total input capacity, HP Instant-on Technology and Ready mode to provide the first black-and-white page in as fast as 8.5 seconds and high speed USB 2.0 port, IPV6 and HP Jetdirect Gigabit Ethernet embedded print server.
The LaserJet P4015x sports a 540-MHz processor and up to 640MB of expandable memory, HP Instant-on Technology and Ready mode, up to 1,200 x 1,200 dpi printing in “Best†mode and comes with additional accessories such as 500-sheet or 1,500-sheet input trays, an automatic duplexer for two-sided printing, an envelope feeder, a five-bin mailbox, a stacker or a stapler/stacker.
The HP Deskjet D2545 Printer is currently available in Wal-Mart stores and the HP Home & Home Office Store. It retails for $44.99. The price of the HP LaserJet printers is unclear.
