Nokia Lumia 1020 is up for pre-order in India for Rs 49,999

The Nokia Lumia 1020 has finally landed in India and the company has announced its exorbitant price. Those interested can grab the piece of hardware by forking out a whopping Rs 50,000. It is currently up for pre-order through the official Nokia eStore as well as some other select online retailers.

Available through the official website in shades of black, white and yellow, the stylish smartphone is graced by a 4.5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 film. It renders visuals in 800 x 480p resolution and has a 1.2MP webcam for company. Needless to say, it facilitates video conferencing over the internet.

But the main attraction of the device is its 41MP camera that uses the second generation PureView imaging technology for capturing good-quality videos and images regardless of the lighting conditions. The snapper uses Carl Zeiss optics and brings optical image stabilization to avoid the blurring effect due to camera shake.

The phone is fueled by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with two cores and 2GB of RAM and it takes advantage of the Windows Phone 8 platform. There’s 32GB of internal memory and the company offers 7GB of SkyDrive cloud storage with every unit of the gadget, absolutely free.
