LG G2 arrives in India with a price tag of Rs 41,500

True to its words, LG went on to unveil the G2 in India on September 30 and now the device has been made available in the country for a price of Rs 41,500. The flagship gadget that’s third in the G series of handsets looks forward to earning sales revenue of around Rs 150 – 200 crores across the world before the end 2014.

The smartphone adopts a rather unconventional design as the company has placed the physical buttons on the rear panel below the camera, instead of on the edges. Its front side is completely dominated by an IPS touchscreen measuring 5.2 inches that can deliver visuals in full HD resolution. A 2.1MP webcam has been placed on the front side for facilitating video conferencing, while a 13MP snapper lays claim over the rear side. The latter brings features like optical image stabilization, video recording, auto focus, LED flash and more.

Based on the Android Jelly Bean platform, the device in question has been loaded with a proprietary user interface that tags along features like Slide Aside, QuickRemote, Text Link, Guest Mode, KnockOn and more. And if that’s not enough, the G2 relies on the quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor to ensure smooth multitasking at all times. 2GB of RAM has been tossed in to assist the chipset in this task.

As we already said, the LG G2 has arrived in India attached with a price tag that reads Rs 41,500 and is slated to be up for grabs through all major shopping portals and retail channels across the nation.
