After protecting a number of smartphones, the Otterbox Military-Style Camo cases belonging to the Defender Series have been released for the Apple iPhone 4S and 4 variants. Users have an option to select the most appropriate cover from a range of 11 different versions.
The camouflaged case boasts of three layers to safeguard the Apple device from scratches, dust, dirt as well as drops. An impenetrable screen protector forms the first layer of the covering which is said to be built into the middle layer. This second layer has been carved out the polycarbonate shell. And the last layer is the rugged silicone skin which features the military-style camouflage pattern.
In order to add to the convenience factor, the manufacturer has thrown in a holster-style swivel belt clip. It should prove to be of help in case of shocks, drops and bumps and it withstands dust intrusion in order to ensure smooth functioning of the iPhone. But the company reveals that it may not be capable of resisting spills as it has not been tested for the same. Measuring 4.88 x 2.71 x 0.66 inches, the camouflaged sheath weighs close to 52 grams.
The 11 options of the protective case include the black and gray colored Urban Funk with pink polycarbonate in addition to the Blizzard splashed in gray and white with black polycarbonate. The Ocean cases featuring blue camouflage are available with black and blue polycarbonate layers, whereas the brown or tan Desert option comes with a black or white colored third layer. Some other options are Urban and Jungle sheaths drenched in multiple shades and Forest flaunting green camo and black polycarbonate.
