The Android based Huawei Mercury that has exclusively entered the U.S. through Cricket, claims to be the fastest device to have hit the carrier. This handset featuring a huge 4-inch display, operates with the help of a processor that runs at a speed of 1.4GHz.

Besides the FWVGA multi-touch display, the front panel of this Huawei smartphone dons a VGA camera that lets users engage in video conferencing with friends and family, over the internet. The back panel sports an 8MP camera with autofocus, which is capable of capturing high definition videos and still shots. The phone with 2GB internal memory is pre-loaded with the email application for consumer as well as business emails.

The 3G certified Huawei Mercury offers faster web browsing experience, while it includes communication options such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. It can also act as a mobile hotspot to support as many as 5 handheld devices. Needless to say, this smartphone provides access to the Android Market and tags along the Google Mobile services which are inclusive of Gmail, Google Search, YouTube, Google Maps and more.

The Huawei Mercury price tag reads $249.99 (approx. Rs. 13,268) and it is available with Cricket’s $55 per month service plan for smartphones.
