Know about Touchscreen BlackBerry Thunder

Getting an all-rounder tag in mobile phone arena seems to be the main motto of Research In Motion. From the smartphone category, the company plans to also make its presence in touchscreen segment. The thundering is expected to soon start during the Fall season, which is slated to begin in third quarter of this year.

Blackberry iPhone

Before the thundering starts, let us lit you up with the RIM’s latest and first every BlackBerry phone that comes with a touchscreen interface. It is called as Thunder. Or else you can also name it as BlackBerry 9500 (the model number is expected to change). Currently, the phone is in the making.

Now, when touchscreen comes into context, the next moment we think of the inventor of the technology. Yes, you have guessed it right – Apple iPhone. Thunder will compete against the iPhone with its high-end features and of course the touch-sensitivity.

However, the Thunder is not a fully touchscreen device as it features 4 essential buttons such as menu key, back/return key and the receiving and ending the call keys. This hybrid device also features CDMA EV-DO Rev. C and GSM HSPA technology, ensuring an improved mobile usage while on the run.

All the above mentioned details are pure speculations. We hope that this grapevine turns out to be factual news, making BlackBerry a part of a revolutionary technology.

In the beginning of the articles, we chose to give RIM an all-rounder tag because it had apparently planned to also push off its latest QWERTY clamshell phone named KickStart.

Dude, Apple didn’t invent touchscreens – they didn’t even invent touchscreen phones. Touchscreens (and phones equipped with them) have been around since the 90’s.
