Till now, Apple’s iPhone was only available with AT&T. But now the iPhoneSIMfree has been announced, that can unlock the device.
Earlier this month a group of software developers from iPhoneSIMfree claimed to develop a program, which can unlock the iPhone. Hence, the device would be able to work on Global System for Mobile (GSM) network all over the world.
The unlocking solution is sold at an estimated price of $99 (approx 3,995 INR).
However hackers are unsure whether the unlock would be permanent. Apple has the power to override it with a possible future software update.
According CNN, iPhoneSIMfree hackers are huge fans of Apple and they wanted to use the iPhone in their respective countries. Currently Apple and AT&T only sell this popular mobile phone in the United States and includes a two-year service agreement.
