The Asus ET2040INK PC has made its debut in India and is available at a very affordable price of Rs 24999. The company has launched the new system via Amazon and it’s only offering the base model for now, which has entry-level hardware suitable for home use.
The Asus ET2040INK is powered by Windows 8.1 with Bing and this means that it’ll be upgradable to Windows 10 for free in the near future. The PC flaunts a stylish and compact form factor which highly resembles a tablet. The screen is kept upright by a stand which can be adjusted for different viewing angles.
A 19.5-inch HD LED-blacklit display is fitted on the outside along with a webcam just above it which enables gesture navigation through the bundled software. The Asus PC offers various ports as well, on the sides and they comprise of an Ethernet jack, USB 2.0 and 3.0 sockets, a card reader and HDMI output. You’ll also get Wi-Fi connectivity, but there’s no word about Bluetooth.

And for rich audio output, the ET2040INK comes with dual stereo speakers with the SonicMaster technology. Coming to the innards, a quad core Intel Pentium J2900 processor clocked at 2.41GHz does the heavy lifting. In the memory department, there’s 2GB RAM and 500GB of HDD storage. Asus notes that a battery has also been included and it offers up to 1 hour of power as a backup solution.
