It’s not very often that tech world stumbles upon laptops that seem truly optimized for entertainment. Asus surfaced with the NX90 laptop for entertainment and technology lovers at a press event convened in Mumbai, India, today. Its chassis that flaunts an 18.4†display with two speakers placed at its sides was borne out of a design collaboration between David Lewis, the Asus Golden Ear team and Bang & Olufsen ICEPower.
The gadget is equipped with a new dual touchpad and rotational desktop interface. The former aids two-handed usability while the latter improves the multimedia attributes of this notebook offering. Users can avail of enhanced photo zooming, web page and document scrolling capabilities with the rotation desktop interface.

The unit is attributed with an 18.4†full HD LED back-lit display and is powered by the 1.6GHz Intel Core i7-720QM processor. The device integrates Turbo Boost technology that lets it enhance processor performance by up to 2.8GHz. The notebook comes pre-loaded with the Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium OS and is supplemented by 8GB DDR3 RAM.
Visual output of the offering is backed by the Nvidia GeForce GT 335M graphics card with 1GB GDDR3 memory. Users are reportedly extended 1TG HDD capacity with two 500GB HDDs operating at a speed of 7200rpm. The gadget accommodates a built-in Blu-ray 4x Combo optical drive as well. Audio quality is supported by two loudspeakers on both sides of the display as also SonicMaster technology.
Additionally, the NX90 flaunts a 2MP webcam and runs on a 6-cell battery. Finished with an aluminum polished exterior, the dimensions of this laptop measure 525mm x 280mm x 43.8mm and it weighs 4.4kg with the battery.
The Asus NX90 notebook is backed by a one year warranty and priced at Rs. 1,31,999.
