Gateway Launches P-6301 and P-6822 Notebooks, and GT-Series Desktop System

Gateway P-Series Notebook and GT-Series Desktop On Thursday, Gateway launched two notebooks and a desktop in the US. The new range includes P-6301 and P-6822 notebooks and GT-series desktop system featuring an Intel Core 2 Quad Core processor.

Gateway’s P series notebooks, namely the P-6301 and P-6822 feature a 17-inch ultrabright display screen having 1,440 by 900 pixel resolution, an 8× Multi-Format Dual-Layer DVD±RW drive and a 5-in-1 media card reader. The P-6301 is equipped with an Intel Pentium Dual Core T2310 processor and Intel integrated graphics, 1GB of RAM, a 160 GB hard drive. The connectivity is achieved through 3 USB 2.0 ports, 802.11g Wi-Fi wireless networking.

The P-6822 sports an Intel Core 2 Duo T5250 processor, a 250 GB hard drive, a 1.3 megapixel Web cam, 802.11a/b/g Wi-Fi. Moreover it also has both VGA ad HDMI 1.2 output. Both the newly launched notebooks are preinstalled with Windows Vista Home Premium.

The GT series desktop, the GT5628 features an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 processor, Intel’s Viiv-enabled G33 chipset, a 256MB Nvidia GeForce 8500GT graphics card, 3 GB of RAM, a 500 GB SATA II 7200 rpm hard drive, a 15-in-1 media card reader, an 18× DVD+R/RW multi-format dual layer DVD drive, copious video output (VGA, DVI-I w/HDCP, and S-Video), 7.1 audio support, 100Base-T Ethernet and WIndows Vista Home Premium. Looking at the features, it seems that this desktop has the capability to grab the attention of gamers.

The P-6301 and P-6822 notebooks will be available at the prices of $799.99 (around Rs. 31,410) and $949.99 (approx Rs. 37,300), respectively, while the GT5628 carries the price tag of $959.99 ( around Rs. 37,700). The whole new range from Gateway will be available in the US market from Oct 14.
