Panasonic has launched a new DVD home theatre system, the SC-PT850W. The latest system features wireless rear speakers, and 1080p up-conversion capabilities.

The SC-PT850W provides strong and powerful sound reproduction through 1200W RMS with outstanding audio performance, 5 speakers, and separate subwoofer and also features digital amplification technology for both DVD and CD.

For the improved Home Theater experience, the product is equipped with 4 Tower speakers and 1 compact centre-speaker, built-in Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro-Logic II and DTS Decoders.

The system uses 2.4GHz spread spectrum technology so audio signals can be transmitted wirelessly from the system to a receiver placed at the back of the room.

    The Panasonic SC-PT850W DVD home theater system will hit Australian stores in July for $1099.
