Sony unveils new ‘hidden home cinema’ TV stand range

End-users with a yen for a complete surround sound experience without the clutter may be as pleased as a punch! Sony has just shed some light on its new hidden home cinema TV stand range. The new solution includes three sizes to suit TVs from 32” right up to 60”.

Bringing a perfect blend of elegance and performance, three models ‘RHT-G11, RHT-G15 and RHT-G5’ have Audio Return Channel over HDMI for simple connection of TV sound to the stand’s built-in amplification and speakers. Equipped with the new S-Force Pro algorithms and S-Master digital amplifier technology, these devices generate amazing, enveloping surround system for users’ favorite movies, TV shows and games.

The Sony RHT-G11 is designed to accommodate 42- to 52-inch TVs, and boasts of slimline styling to match Bravia monolithic design, complete with cutaway corners for simple placement. The compact RHT-G5 touts to be the most affordable Sony ‘home cinema in a stand’ to date. It shares the features of the larger RHT-G11, and utlizes a total of 330W of s-master amplification.

On the other hand, the RHT-G15 is said to accommodate the larger Bravia TVs, being suitable for models up to 60-inch, and like the RHT-G11 features 430W of S-Master amplification. Just to notify, it is hidden away within the stand, along with all the processing and speakers required for surround sound without clutter and wires.

The new Sony RHT-G11 and RHT-G15 will be released in May 2010, and the RHT-G5 will be released in June. The pricing details are yet to be revealed.
