InFocus Corporation, a leader in digital projection technology, has announced its new home theater projector, dubbed InFocus IN83. It offers a full HD 1080p with DLP DarkChip4 technology and BrilliantColor technology from Texas Instruments.
A new member of the Play Big home theater projector line, it delivers a native 5,000:1 contrast ratio (with a maximum contrast of 15,000:1) for true-to-life color accuracy, video-optimized brightness of 1,600 max ANSI lumens. IN83 offers film-standard, D65K color accuracy in ambient light during a daytime movie or sporting event.
With the InFocus Color Gamut Calibrator with ISF Day and Night presets, the new projector is equipped with Pixelworks DNX 10-bit video processing technology and the latest HDMI 1.3 with Deep Color support, ensuring vivid and crystal clear displays with 1.07 billion colors.
Furthermore, the Play Big IN83 home theater projector also shows 2.35:1 Cinemascope/widescreen aspect ratio support without an external scaler (requires the Panamorph anamorphic lens, which is available separately). Users can connect it to nearly any consumer electronic device such as HD media players, HD cable and satellite receivers, DVD players, computers and video game consoles.
Expected to roll out in March this year via exclusive InFocus resellers and installers, the InFocus Play Big IN83 will cost $5,999 (approx. Rs. 240,000).
