Sony EX3 prototype 3D camcorder glimpsed

Sony EX3 Prototype

Remember the Fujifilm FinePix Real 3D W1 camera? Well, we’ve also seen televisions supporting the 3D technology. Now, Engadget has revealed the prototype of Sony’s new 3D camcorder. Reportedly, dubbed Sony EX3, this prototype features interchangeable lenses and the obvious support for 3D.

Well, this isn’t all. Engadget also put in a couple of updates revealing more. Sony has apparently integrated the device with two PMW-EX3 studio cams into a single shell. Moreover, it packs in three CMOS chips.

Reportedly, it will be featuring the first ever 1.5-inch interocular distance. Those waiting for Panasonic’s 3D camcorder now get yet another innovation to wait for. However, the Sony EX3 will supposedly not make consumers wait for too long and will be emerging soon.

Though, it may appear soon, there is no word on the exact release date. Well, the pricing details also remain undisclosed. Guess we’ll just have to wait until a few more specs make an appearance or simply the official announcement.
