Sanyo launches Xacti Waterproof Standard HD DMX-CA9 and DMX-WH1 Camcorders

Sanyo has unveiled two waterproof standard HD camcorders, namely the DMX-CA9 and DMX-WH1.

Both camcorders have achieved IPX8 (full water submersion) based on JIS C 0920 waterproofing guidelines. The DMX-CA9 can be submersed to depths of 1.5m, while the DMX-WH1 can withstand 3m under water shooting.

The vertically-fashioned CA9 features 1/2.5-inch CMOS sensor, 9.02 megapixel of resolution for still images, 7.31 megapixel for video shooting, 5x optical zoom lens, digital zoom of 12x max for shooting and 62.5x for playback, support for Composite video output, NTSC/PAL and compatibility with USB 2.0.

And, the horizontal-shaped WH1 sports 1/6-inch CMOS sensor, 1.10 megapixel of resolution for photos, 0.97 megapixel for video shooting, 3x optical zoom lens, digital zoom of 50x for video recording and 25x for playback, compatibility with HDMI/Composite video output, NTSC/PAL and USB 2.0.

In addition to distinct features, both the waterproof cameras inlcude a 2.5-inch TFT color LCD display, digital image stabilizer, integrated stereo, built-in monaural speaker and up to 43 MB internal memory with an additional 32 GB SD/SDHC memory card support.

The DMX-CA9 and DMX-WH1 also incorporates Reverse Sequential Photo function, motion correction (anti-shake) function, face chaser function and sub-rec button for further convenience.

No word on the price and availability of the Sanyo Waterproof Standard HD DMX-CA9 and DMX-WH1 camcorders.
