Sony A380, A330 and A230 DSLR Cameras

Sony has introduced the all new DSLR-A380, DSLR-A330 and DSLR-A230 for beginners. These cameras have been designed to ease the difficulties faced by beginners in DSLR photography. These small and lightweight cameras are easy to use and also feature unique expansion options without compromising on performance.

“Our new alpha cameras, lenses and accessories make it easier for new users to get the great photos they expect without the steep learning curve that DSLRs have traditionally required,” said Kristen Elder, senior manager for the alpha business at Sony Electronics Inc. “By overcoming the obstacles, we’ve made it much easier for newcomers to take great pictures with DSLRs.”

The A-230 is the lightest 10.2megapixel camera and weighs only 15.9 ounces while DSLR-A380 and DSLR-A330 are lighter and smaller versions of DSLR-A350 and DSLR-A300, respectively. These compact cameras feature a sensitive control layout that offers easy one-hand operations. These cameras also incorporate SteadyShot INSIDE image stabilizer that minimizes the blur caused due to shaking of the camera.

The A380 and the A330 feature Sony’s Quick Autofocus Live View technology. This technology uses a devoted image sensor to maintain the speed of responses of the DSLR while avoiding focus delay.

All the new models come with a Clear Photo LCD screen that measures 2.7-inch diagonally. This screen can also be viewed in bright sunlight. The LCD screen of the A380 and the A330 can be tilted upwards or downwards to click pictures from high or low positions. This allows users to take photos without holding the camera at eye-level. These cameras also feature a range of adjustments that is higher than that of its predecessors.

The cameras also include a HDMI terminal that enables users to connect the camera to a HDTV to view images. The cameras also support high capacity Memory Stick PRO Duo, Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo and SD/SDHC media.

These devices are Sony’s first to include a graphical user interface and built-in Help Guide. This Help Guide provides users with clear and step-by-step explanation of various modes and features.

Two new standard zoom and telephoto lenses are available with the cameras. Additionally, the company also unveils new portrait and macro lenses which claim to provide professional-looking, creative results, easily. The devices also feature APS-C sized image sensors and Smooth Autofocus Motor (SAM) which are said to provide smooth, quiet and high optical working.

The new cameras are available for pre-order on company’s official website and through select retailers. The cameras can be bought with a range of accessories from any Sony Style retail stores, military base exchanges and authorized dealers, in July.
