Casio Exilim EX-Z1200 12.1 Megapixel camera introduced

After Sony and Panasonic, now it’s Casio who introduced a 12.1 megapixel camera. Casio expanded their Exilim series with 12.1 Mega Pixel digital camera called Casio Exilim EX-Z1200.

With 12.1 megapixel resolution, Casio’s EX-Z1200 offers 3x optical zoom. The newly launched camera is incorporated with CCD-shift image stabilization and the latest Exilim Engine 2.0 image-processing module with motion analysis technology.

EX-Z1200 also offers some new features like face detecting auto-tracking auto focus technology and motion analysis technology. These new features help to provide image stabilization.

Other specifications of the newly released Casio Exilim EX-Z1200 camera are:

  • Size: 3.6 x 2.3 x 0.88 inches
  • 2.8-inch LCD viewfinder with brightness up to 1400cd/m2
  • H.264 QuickTime format to capture movies
  • 11.4MB of built-in flash memory
  • Compatible with SDHC, SD, MMC, and MMC+ flash media cards
  • Capture pictures up to three frames per second
  • On the occasion of the launch of Casio Exilim EX1200, Bill Heuer, Vice President, Casio, Digital Imaging Division said, “The newest addition to the slim, stylish EXILIM line represents Casio’s continuing objective to produce innovative products fit for everyone’s needs. The EX-Z1200 incorporates the same characteristics from the EX-Z1000 and adds new features such as face detection and motion analysis technology which make photographs more life like.”

    Casio Exilim EX-Z1200 is available in two colours Silver and Black and it is expected to arrive in the market till June this year. Approximate cost of EX-Z1200 will be $399.99 (Rs.16,200).
