The mobile-age deems for a faster and smarter experience. In an attempt to offer a swifter mobile experience, Vodafone recently unboxed the R201 MiFi device in the Indian market. This mobile Wi-Fi device brings to users a portable Mobile Wi-Fi terminal that can be simultaneously used by five people.
At 90 grams, it measures 98mm x 62mm x 14mm. It features a SIM slot that helps connect to Vodafone’s 3G network and then on five users can connect their computers, mobile gaming devices or digital music players to the device using Wi-Fi.
Speaking on the launch Kumar Ramanathan, Chief Marketing Officer, Vodafone Essar Ltd said, “The Vodafone R201 is designed to provide customers with an advantage of connecting and communicating on-the-go. As a result of our innovation effort, we at Vodafone are introducing an exciting range of products to let our customers experience 3G services at its best. R201 is one such device which builds on our leadership, reiterates our promise of providing unique and innovative offerings for our valued customers.â€
The Vodafone R201 adorns a compact design and provides up to 4 hours of battery life for on-the-move uninterrupted 3G internet services at a speed of up to 7.2Mbps on HSDPA based devices. It can be powered by a battery, mains or USB.
The Vodafone R201 MiFi device carries a price tag of Rs. 5,500.
