Samson reveals AirLine Micro wireless camera system

More recently, if there’s anything that had us nod our heads in agreement to the ‘Good things come in small packages’ expression, it’s got be the AirLine Micro wireless camera system. In a diminutive size, this system from Samson is armed with enhanced technologies and features for convenient use of video camera applications.

Equipped with an improved lithium-ion battery technology, the system bundles in audio and RF components which though small in size are high on quality. Benefiting DSLR video shoots in particular, the system is more versatile and reliable. For both the AL2 transmitter and AR2 receiver, Samson tailors the system to be completely rechargeable using lithium-ion batteries.

“Because AirLine Micro’s rechargeable batteries offer over 7 hours of operation, the days of constantly replacing the batteries in your wireless system are over,” adds Mark Wilder, Samson’s Director of Marketing. “And since it’s micro-sized, AirLine Micro works with today’s DSLR cameras and smaller camcorders.”

There’s a double-docking station (AR2DT) that paves the path for USB DC power to both units effortlessly. It further enables a 3.5mm balanced audio output benefiting the receiver too. An LM10 omni-directional lavalier microphone is housed in the AL2 beltpack transmitter additionally. Boasting of a single knob for functions like mute, power and volume, all of the unit’s operations can be supervised through a multi-color LED display. Users looking at pro-level audio for their camera application can in particular take advantage of this solution.
