Genius unveils SlimStar 8000 keyboard and mouse combo

Genius SlimStar 8000 Quite often a tangled mess of wires adds to people’s misery while using any peripheral. To assuage these woes, Genius has officially announced the launch of its wireless keyboard and mouse combo dubbed SlimStar 8000 in the U.S. and Canada.

The company claims that the peripherals blend in both compactness and handiness, especially for those who are always on the move. The wireless ultra-slim keyboard and the 1200dpi optical mouse require a USB receiver to connect them to either a notebook or PC. The devices employ long-range and anti-interference 2.4GHz wireless frequency for consistent transmission.

The full-size keyboard incorporates slim keycaps to offer better comfort when typing. It also includes two volume-control hotkeys for quick volume adjustment, while each key features small liquid drain holes beneath them. This prevents the keyboard from external damages due to accidental spills. The mouse encompasses left and right control buttons as well as a ‘Magic Roller’ scroll-wheel to provide users with a smooth navigation experience.

With its high tracking capabilities, the mouse is said to offer steady and fluid movement control. What’s more, the combo is available in black hues along with three AAA alkaline batteries for using it anytime and anywhere. The keyboard and mouse are compatible with Windows 7, Vista and XP operating systems.

The SlimStar 8000 keyboard and mouse can both be purchased for $24.90 (approx Rs. 1,120).
