We’re running out of count on the number of wireless devices that claim to provide speedy internet connectivity to a host of systems. TRENDnet announced the TEW-680MB Dual Band Wireless N Media Bridge, at Computex this year which appears to precisely do that.
The device with four Gigabit Ethernet Ports is touted to be capable of networking televisions, computers, DVRs and gaming consoles to the internet at a speed of 450Mbps. It is compatible with 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks and reduces the interference by other wireless devices and networks.
“Trendnet’s 450 Mbps media bridge will be the third 450 Mbps wireless adapter that we launch to market,†informed Zak Wood, Director of Global Marketing, Trendnet. “This product affirms our performance and technology leadership position in the wireless category.â€
The wireless device uncomplicates the process of connecting to the router by allowing networking of devices by simply hitting the Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) button on both the device and the router. LEDs on the adapter flash the device status and Its WMM Quality of Service (QoS) technology focuses on attributes like Internet calling, gaming and video streaming.
The TRENDnet 450Mbps Dual Band Wireless N Media Bridge will hit stores in the U.S. around late fall at a price of $169.99 (approx Rs.7,600) with a three year limited warranty.
