Cisco unravels Linksys E-Series Routers in India

Recently, we had witnessed Cisco join hands with Jawbone to launch the Jawbone Icon for Cisco Bluetooth headset. Now, the company has unraveled its Linksys E-Series Routers in India. The lineup comprises of three models namely, the Cisco Linksys E1000, E2000 and the E3000. These routers can effortlessly connect with all wireless devices including HDTVs, notebooks, wireless printers, gaming consoles such as Wii, Xbox and PlayStation. Using the Cisco Connect software, the E-series can be wirelessly set-up in three easy steps.

These devices are designed intelligently to cater different needs of users. The E1000 is apt for customers who need a router for general wireless Internet usage and home office productivity. Up next is the E2000 which works seamlessly with gaming consoles, Internet-enabled HDTVs, Blu-ray players and computers. The E3000 has been fabricated to assist users in streaming video and other entertainment content to Xbox 360, PS3 or other compatible device from USB connected storage devices.

He further elucidated “Linksys E-series launch is a testament of our commitment to the Indian market by bringing the next level of technology through powerful routers as well as enabling consumers to increasingly enjoy the benefits of going wireless.”

The Linksys E2000 and E3000 are integrated with selectable dual-band (2.4GHz or 5GHz) technology which makes sure that there is no interference enabling smoother file transfers and media streaming. Additionally, users can leverage on the four Gigabit ports to share file much faster. Moreover, the company has even released the all new Linksys dual-band Wireless-N USB adapter. Priced at Rs. 2,999, it offers Wireless-N capability to desktop computers and laptops. This device also includes selectable dual-band technology.

The latest Cisco Linksys E1000, E2000 and E3000 routers cost Rs. 5,999, Rs. 7,999, and Rs. 10,999, respectively. The entire series along with the USB Wireless-N adapter will be released by mid-November, 2010.
