Windows 8.1-powered Swipe Ultimate Tablet has a large battery, small price

The Swipe Ultimate TabTop or Tablet depending on where you look, has been officially launched in India carrying a budget minded price of Rs 19999. The device is basically a 2-in-1 release which can be used either as a standalone slate or like a laptop by docking it with a keyboard extension.

The device falls in the same category as the very attractive Notion Ink Cain that’s retailing for Rs 19990 and the iBall Slide WQ149 which can be picked up at Rs 21999. It also has a lot in common with the said 2-in-1 devices. The Swipe Ultimate Tab, like almost every other Windows 8.1 tablet on the market, is powered by an Intel processor, a 1.83GHz quad core Bay Trail Atom to be more precise.

The display here is a 10.1-inch IPS screen with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. The front has a 2MP camera, while the rear features a 5MP snapper. There are various other components on the exteriors and they include HDMI output, a microUSB port and what appears to be a USB 3.0 socket, albeit there’s no official word on that.

The device can be attached to the keyboard dock via a magnetic strip which holds it in place. The accessory adds nothing extra in terms of functionality (except for better text input) and will be of much help with software like Microsoft’s Office suite. Speaking of which, customers get free 1-year access to Office 365.
