The newly disclosed Zync Z990 claims to be the first tablet in India operating on the Ice Cream Sandwich OS. And its rather budget-friendly price tag could come as good news to most Android loyalists in the country.
The device is equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen and arrives fueled by a 1.2GHz processor. It features 1GB RAM and 4GB internal user memory that is expandable up to 32GB. Tipping the scales at 380gms, it comes across as lightweight and convenient enough to port around in fairly small bags or rather large pockets. Moreover, the decent battery life should make it a ready accomplice while on the go.

The front panel of the Zync Z990 houses a 0.3MP snapper for video conferencing. Other facilities incorporated within the entrant include Wi-Fi connectivity and a full-sized USB port that supports a range of peripherals like external keyboards, pen drives, 3G USB dongles as well as slots for microUSB and HDMI. This fresh entrant is bundled in with a host of accessories like a screen guard, a lycra sleeve, a pouch, a USB charger and a cable.
The Zync Z990 price and availability details have already been revealed by the company. Its price is marked at Rs 8,990 and it is available at websites like Yebhi.com, HomeShop18.com and Letsbuy.com.
