Those who hate waiting for manufacturers to deliver on the promise of Ice Cream Sandwich updates for their devices, may want to lay hands on the Ematic eGlide Prism 7-inch tablet. That’s because it runs Google’s latest mobile OS right out of the box.

Adding to the idea of value for money is the fact that the slate is 3D enabled and will be bundled along with 3D glasses. Running through the key mentions on the specifications sheet, the tablet has a 7-inch capacitive LCD touchscreen display and front-facing webcam. It is powered by a 1GHz processor and arrives with a microSD card reader built into the chassis.

The HD video player on this Gingerbread slab supports up to 2160p 3D HD content and the audio is blared out through the embedded speakers as well as the earphone jack. Accommodating Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n connectivity, it lands with 8GB flash memory and 5GB cloud storage for hoarding files and other multimedia content.

The Ematic eGlide Prism price is $157.16 (approx. Rs. 8,050) at present. However, the aforesaid is only the sale price on the device which is actually marked at $216 (approx. Rs. 11,080). It is packaged along with 3D glasses, a protective sleeve, a wall charger, a USB cable and headphones.
