The Fuhu nabi Jr. release date will fall sometime in mid-December and this slate for kids will be up for sale for a price of $99. This latest member in the toy tablet category is pre-loaded with educational applications and runs the Android Ice Cream Sandwich platform.
Although it is a tab for children, the company in question has loaded the device with advanced features. It has been integrated with a powerful dual core Nvidia Tegra processor for facilitating multitasking at all times and the Android 4.0-based gadget comes with a capacitive display as well. Its high-resolution screen offers a multi-touch real estate of 5 inches and reproduces clear visuals in 800 x 480p resolution.
The rotating front and back camera fitted on the device’s top side, can be used for making face-to-face calls as well as for clicking images and recording videos. Basically, there’s just one snapper that pivots around so it acts as a webcam as well as rear-facing camera. The manufacturer hasn’t mentioned anything regarding attributes or resolution of this shooter. Also, the tab ships with either 4GB or 16GB internal memory.
Moreover, the nabi Jr. is loaded with the Wings Education System that is said to be useful for digital learning. This adaptive system takes into consideration the state-standardized requirements and offers a combination of discrete graphics and a fun UI for kids. One of its functions, Wings Challenges or as the company calls it, game-u-cation, poses various challenges for character discoveries through hidden maps and more to make learning an exciting experience.
Additionally, there’s Wings University that brings a complete bookstore for kids in grades first through sixth. Students can also earn incentives for learning in the form of nabi Coins to buy applications, games and more via the Wings Learn & Earn program. The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth-enabled durable slab is complete with parental controls, Karaoke Machine, Cash Register and more.
The Fuhu nabi Jr. will hit store shelves in mid-December for a price of $99 (approx. Rs. 5,390) for 4GB and $129 (approx. Rs. 7,025) for the 16GB variant. It will initially be available in North America, Korea, UK, China and Japan.
